Meet Bertram: The Oversized Pomeranian Who Became an Instagram Star
So let me tell you about this one-of-a-kind Pomeranian, Bertram, who didn’t have the easiest start in life. He was left behind when he was just five months old because he was a bit on the bigger side for his breed, and the breeders thought he wouldn’t sell. But as luck would have it, he caught the eye of Kathy Grayson, an artist, while she was browsing online. Something about that adorable fluff-ball grabbed her, and before she knew it, she was hooked.
It was on petfinder.com where Kathy first saw Bertram’s face, wearing a nifty blue bandana, flaunting his oversized paws and those soulful eyes. It was love at first sight, and she couldn’t shake the feeling they were meant to be together. Not wasting any time, she dialed the number for the rescue group to see if Bertram was still up for adoption. Once she got the affirmative, she didn’t think twice and made her way down to the shelter in Oklahoma to meet her new buddy.
Fast forward, Kathy and Bertram are now living their best lives in New York. Bertram, that lovably large Pomeranian full of joy and cuddles, is living the dream. Kathy could see how much of a sweetheart he was and figured the world should know too. So, she set him up with his very own Instagram page to share all the darling moments they spent together.
Believe it or not, Bertram has now amassed a thunderous following on Instagram, mostly thanks to his uncanny resemblance to a teddy bear, particularly when he’s all dressed up as Paddington Bear. Followers just can’t get enough of him; Kathy reckons it’s his teddy bear-like charm that gets people every time.
But Bertram isn’t just about his social media game; he’s also a lover of the arts. You see, he hangs out at Kathy’s art gallery, too. The visitors there can’t get enough of him; they flock to meet him, armed with gifts and their cameras ready for a snap. Bertram, our little artist muse, absolutely basks in the love from Kathy and all his admirers as he struts around the gallery, living his best fuzzy life.
So that’s the story of Bertram, the Pomeranian too big for his breeders but just perfect for the world of art and Instagram fame. Goes to show you, sometimes those unexpected turns in life lead to the most remarkable journeys.
