Nicole Coyle’s Heartfelt Mission: A Hospice for Dogs in Their Final Chapter

At the age of 46, after a rewarding nursing career, I find myself immersed in a new and deeply touching venture – a sanctuary for dogs who are valiantly nearing the end of their life’s journey or grappling with life-limiting conditions. The heart-wrenching sight of elderly or unwell canines being left to fend for themselves led me to open my heart and home, birthing the Grey Muzzle Canine Hospice Project. Within this compassionate retreat, elder and terminally ill dogs who are otherwise destined for euthanasia discover a nurturing last chapter, with the guarantee of love and dignity in their final six months.

My devotion to these precious souls extends far beyond a simple rescue. I allocate a generous slice of my personal funds to create unforgettable moments for them. Imagine dogs who have perhaps never known luxury, now savoring gourmet treats like steaks and indulging in refreshing ice cream. Their tails wag as they explore sandy shores, savoring blissful beach outings. It’s a mission close to my heart, where each dog is endowed with affection and a true sense of belonging, reversing the undeserved neglect of their past.
